Bared Quickie Book Review
Not the vampires I’m used to
Which was disappointing. Bared: A Taken at Midnight Standalone by Lola Delory missed the mark for me. The opening scene in the club was the best part of the book. It didn’t entirely suck, but that was also part of the problem. The vampires didn’t suck, blood that is. This was more vampirism as a blood-borne disease that came with the unfortunate side effect of extreme photosensitivity. In fact, it had so little to do with the overall story that they didn’t need to have been vampires at all, and the story would not have been affected.
