Immortals After Dark…they don’t all look the same

I am eagerly devouring Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark Series. She has managed to create a lively world of supernatural creatures, blending old and new lore to create enigmatic and very likable creature-characters.

Werewolves (aka Lykae), Vampires, Witches, Valkyrie, Demons, Wraiths, and Furiaes… there’s not one sort left out, and they all have complex histories and very distinct behavior patterns. Is it crazy to wish suddenly that Lykae were real, just so I could have one of the hulking male centurions for my very own? Perhaps.

Let me state for the record that I am noticing a trend here: Is there some secret ingredient that makes most men from Scotland/Ireland/England seem to be a sexier sort of man? Paranormal or supernatural abilities notwithstanding…Not sure…must be researched further.

Her writing style is nothing short of eye-sizzling. I find myself drawn into the story, the drama of the characters, the sexual tension, and the humor that is so unexpected, I found myself chuckling before I even realized that I had read a funny part, or maybe it wasn’t supposed to be funny? Like, not a funny ha-ha, but a funny uh-oh. Either way, it’s very entertaining. I can see that I am going to be tearing through the current seven books that are available in the series right now.

Definitely a keeper in my library!
