Lotsa L.A.S.S. –Robyn DeHart is brilliant–
Ladies’ Amateur Sleuth Society (aka LASS) is the creation of Robyn DeHart. Its a clever blend of romance and mystery, but without all the melodrama that I associate with the likes of Stephanie Laurens (who can sometimes be tedious to read…). There are four members of the society: Amelia, Margaret aka “Meg”, Wilhelmena aka “Willow”, and Charlotte.
I read the first two, A Study in Scandal and Deliciously Wicked already. I am ready to take on the next book in the series, Tempted at Every Turn, which is all about Willow.
I was noting that on the author’s website, she has not indicated a deadline for when the last book, which would be about Charlotte, might be released/written. Though she did mention (though she didn’t say what character they named) that some readers had correctly identified the Jack of Hearts jewel thief –a background character who initially appears in the first (A Study in Scandal), then strikes again in the second (Deliciously Wicked) as an ongoing case of the L.A.S.S. group.
I have not read the third book yet (its on my list for pickup) so I don’t know if more is mentioned about the jewel thief or not, but I am currently clueless. I wonder if it would help to read them again, apparently I overlooked some crucial clues…
I really hope she doesn’t abandon Charlotte’s story forever, because the first book of a new series by DeHart is coming out this August, and she did state that she has no plans for Book 4 at this time…awwww….

I too am waiting for Robyn DeHart to write about Charlotte, from the (L.A.S.S.). I realize you wrote about these books forever ago, 4/19/09!! I have read everything she has written (all of them from Oct-Dec 2011). I will be very disappointed if she doesn’t write Charlotte’s story. I have no idea who the jewel thief is at all either.
I see she has written a new book “Her Gentleman Thief”, but it is not Charlotte’s story. I will definitely read her new one. Take care and happy reading!

Hey Miraesto! My google alert flagged your blog and how could I not come and see after the line “Robyn DeHart is brilliant”! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the LASS series thus far. Sadly the series is not complete at this time, but I do so hope I can write Charlotte’s book someday. In the meantime I do suspect you might enjoy my Legend Hunters series just as much (if not more).
