Say You’ll Be Nine Quickie Book Review

I am not a fan of social media stars and Insta-celebrities, and when I read the premise of this book, I thought it would put me off, but that did not happen. Fortunately, the main characters had so much chemistry that I couldn’t put the book down. I had to know how their relationship was going to turn out.
The main characters knew each other when they were younger, so this has that second-chance romance feel, but since they were never really together in the past, it also has the enemies-to-lovers vibe. I was uncertain how a character would have the nickname “Nine” and if that would get hokey, but it was not, and the origin of his name gave the story a sweet twist.
The fake-to-real romance hook was nice too, since they had all this shared history, watching their relationship evolve in front of the cameras and behind the scenes. I got really caught up in the story. Thoroughly enjoyed the book. Will likely read it again.
